Confusion
Today was a day full of confusion! Our teachers told us last friday that four students were picked out of a class of 28. Me being one of them. Us four students had to be at school at 8:00am this morning. We talked to our teachers and they told us that they wanted to use our check-offs from the past year and half to be re-accredited with. Well, all I could do was just sit back and try to help out as much as I could. Just imagine going through hundreds of check-off sheets and making sure they are properly documented and correctly filed in order. Now that we knew what duties were asked of us our teacher grouped us of course in two's since there was only four of us. Anyways, She told us that we needed to recheck off on ECG's. Reason being is that when we checked off on them before we just had to place the leads on a dummy. Well to our surprise we were asked to undress waist up! Yes, I said it waist up! We had to perform ECG on each other. With all of our glory out in the open all battle scars and everything. All I could think about was how a Tiger attacked my stomach in 2007. After the ECG's were completed we concentrated on the next 100 check-offs. When we got back from lunch the Respiratory Therapist teacher came up stairs with the PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). We had to each complete and teach how to do a PFT. All I can say is that we looked like a bunch of retards sucking in as much air as we could and then blowing it out as hard and as fast as we could with out laughing at each other. In the end My percentage was great I has the lung capacity of a 25 year old. Finally, at the end of the day after filing tons and tons of check-offs we were told that we are going to have to come back one day in June to help finish filing our check-offs. We only completed half of what we needed to do from 8am-5pm. Ugh, I would have rather been working. Oh well, they will be completed soon and all I should think about is how this will help Augusta Tech's future Medical Assisting students.
